Don Giovanni
2014, London
The London Royal Opera House created a modern interpretation of Mozart’s classic opera Don Giovanni by projecting video content onto a kinetic set made of a revolving "palazzo" cube and 16 moveable bi-fold doors. Bild's David Bajt set up the d3 project and developed the technical and creative workflow which video designer Luke Halls employed for his content design. At a very early stage, Luke and the production team could therefore pre-simulate the content design onto the moving scenery. The very same d3 project was used for the onsite projector calibration and playback, turning the virtual setup into reality.
