Volvo XC90 Launch

The new Volvo XC90 was revealed with projections mapped onto a rotating XC90 car and to the surrounding scenery. Using the projections to form a "keynote presentation deluxe" the visuals supported the speakers in explaining new design elements, new technical features and safety-related aspects of the new car in a fun and efficient way. David Bajt from Bild worked closely with video supplier Lightland to engineer the video implementation and install the project onsite, together with Nils Porrmann from Dandelion & Burdock and Morgan Brown from Brownsblend. By receiving encoding data while the car is rotating and using d3's new dynamic blend feature the car was re-mapped and blended in real-time from 3 different projectors.
